22-Dec-2001The final phase of Pakistan junior cricket camp inpreparation for the World Cup in New Zealand began inearnest Friday at the Rawalpindi Stadium.Coach Haroon Rasheed said that all 14 boys had reported andthe schedule of training was the same as in the pre-Ramazanphase. “We go for one extended session from 9am till about3:30pm.”Haroon said that with this being the last phase before theplayers leave for New Zealand, they would focus on applyingthemselves in match conditions.The juniors who beat Sri Lanka 4-1 in a one-day home series,are due to play practice matches against the PCB XI on Dec29 and 31 in Rawalpindi. Meanwhile former West Indiesskipper Clive Lloyd will be giving tips to the players inthe camp from Jan 4 to 6.The Pakistan Juniors will leave for New Zealand on Jan 9 or10.
