They were given a rousing start as Knightand Neil Carter shared an opening stand of 94 in 11 overs, although Carter surviveda difficult catch in the fourth over.Both batsmen eventually fell to Robert Croft as Warwickshire lost their last nine wicketsfor 52 runs, as spinners Croft and Cosker shared five wickets between them. But the damage had been done by the firstwicket stand, and Glamorgan were left needing to score at over 9 an over.Matthew Maynard briefly lifted Welsh spirits with a cultured half century, includinga six off the first ball of the innings as he savagely cut former Glamorgan star Waqar Younishigh over the short boundary at third man.Maynard continued to unleash some powerful blows, but shortly after reaching his 28 ball fifty, Maynard was caught behind off leg-spinnerCollins Obuya. The Kenyan international then added four more victims in a controlledspell of spin bowling as the Glamorgan batsmen tried to maintain the asking rate, andthe 21 year old finished with 5/24 – the best bowling figures so far in the competition.Glamorgan were eventually dismissed for 113, and they will be looking to pick up theirfirst points in the two remaining games in the competition.
